George's Greyhounds

February 1998 - June 2007

Pet Name: Faelon
Color: Black
Sire: Montechina Dam: Snow Came Flying

July 1998 - May 2007

Pet Name: Reuben
Color: Red Sable
Sire: Molotov
Dam: Hanover Magic

Faelon always seemed to be laying his head on Reuben's butt; but being a dominant dog, Faelon would never allow Reuben to return the favor. At the end, on what I knew would be my last night with Reuben as his cancer was getting worse, I was rubbing his head while he rested on the floor saying my goodbyes. Faelon walked over and laid down behind Reuben licking him a few times on the leg. Then he rested his head on Reuben's butt one last time as if to say his own goodbyes to his good friend.

Christmas 2002: We were lucky to have them lay still for a few moments

Reuben wanted to lay on the couch despite the fact that someone else was in the way. "Maybe he won't notice I'm laying on him..."

A picture of Faelon during his first week in his new home. I loved the way his ears flopped over.

A hot summer day on vacation at Kerr Lake, NC. Reuben loved the water but Faelon didn't. He was pushing the envolope standing in the water above his knees.

Greyhounds aren't just dogs, they are a way of life!
